Men brought down in a police sting -- dubbed "Operation Cyber Guardian" -- after they show up to a house looking to have sex with a teen.
Law enforcement officers in Cape Coral busted 21 men between the ages of 19 and 72 in just one week.
Seventeen of the men are from Lee County.
One man, 26-year-old Travis Holcomb, came from Naples. Two more, 72-year-old Franklin Klein and 22-year-old Kyle Narring, arrived from Sarasota County.
Narring, according to Lee County sheriff's deputies, rode a bicycle all the way from North Port and stopped in the rain to ask for directions.
And 23-year-old Michael Hoyman paid more than $200 for an Uber ride from Port St. Lucie.
The sting occurred somewhere near the Cape Coral water treatment plant near Aqualina Boulevard. That's where officers staged before moving in to make arrests at a nearby home -- whose address was not disclosed.
The staging area is in the middle of a residential neighborhood, within a mile of three schools, which predictably left parents feeling uneasy.
"I don't like that at all, man. Not in my neighborhood," said Jason Chapa. "We got a lot of kids back here. There're kids all over. I definitely don't like that."
A video shows officers arresting one suspect as soon as he arrived at the house's front door.
"I'd like to say that I'm surprised and shocked," said Evelyne Landers, who lives across the street from one of the suspects, Michael Drew. "But being on the Internet, and seeing and hearing everything that's going on, I'm not."
Drew and the 20 others are charged with felonies, and no one at Drew's home Tuesday wished to comment.
Six arrests are still pending, and it's unclear how many of the original 21 suspects have bonded out of jail because the arrests took place over a weeklong period.
Meanwhile, Chapa and his fellow residents will keep a closer eye on local children.
"I've never seen the guy come out at all, but now," he said, "I definitely don't want to see him coming around any of our kids."
We stopped by six suspects' addresses listed on the arrest reports.
Twenty-eight-year-old Dominique Felicetti of Cape Coral answered his door, but when we tried to talk with him, his mother asked us to leave.
We spoke with his next-door neighbor, Diana Nieves, who has two children.
"I didn't expect it. I didn't not expect it. He's quiet, keeps to himself," said Nieves. "I have lived here a few years now, and his whole family always says hi, how are you, no issues."
